Salomé Lamas (b. 1987, Lisbon, Portugal) – filmmaker. Studied cinema at the Lisbon
Theatre and Film School; in 2011 got MFA at the Sandberg Instituut (Amsterdam,
Netherlands), in 2016 – PhD in Contemporary Art Studies at the Universidade de
Coimbra (Portugal). Selected filmography: Coup de Grâce (2017), Eldorado XXI (2016),
The Tower (2015), No Man’s Land (2012). Works were screened and presented at
Berlinale Film Festival (Germany), Tate Modern (UK), Bozar (Belgium), The Museum of
Moving Image (USA), The Jewish Museum (USA). She was awarded The Robert
Gardner Film Study Center (Harvard University, US), fellowship of Centre National des
Arts Plastiques (France), Bellagio Center Fellowship (The Rockefeller Foundation, US),
grant of the European Cinema Support Fund, DAAD Berliner Künstlerprogramm grant
(Germany).
